Re: Google Meeting Collaboration for new-mars.org members
Sunday is Google Meeting day for NewMars ...
The time is midnight UTC, 7 PM Houston, 8 PM New Hampshire, 6 PM Los Angeles, and mid-morning Australia.
The link is at the top of this topic: http://new-mars.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=403#p403
We have an opportunity to meet FOQ1 if he can make it.
FOQ1 asked about the version of the forum software, and there is an update.
FOQ1 also asked about backups of the database, and that needs to be done.
There are some concerns for how to work with the (relatively small) footprint of our Azure subscription.
***
We might be able to find time to explore the features of the Moderator screens compared to Administrator ones.
At this point, SpaceNut and tahanson43206 are Administrators, and RobertDyck and FOQ1 are Moderators.
To round out the review here, GW Johnson and kbd512 are regular members.
newmarsmember is set up as a member for communication purposes.
We have an id set up for assignment (available-for-use)
That should total up to 9.
Dave Z is an ID set up for a friend who lives in Alaska. I'll delete that ID. It was never used.
OK ... Dave Z is no longer a member. We met through Dr. Lewis Dartnell's Knowledge forum.

The waiting room is open at 23:59
Post meeting report...
This was our first meeting in the tenure of new-mars.org.
From my vantage point, we were off to a great start ...
kbd512, SpaceNut, GW Johnson .... everyone was present from the leadership team except for RobertDyck, who may be able to join us in a future meeting.
Business attended to included setting up a direct pathway for kbd512, which he tested and reported that it works.
We discussed a range of topics as usual.
After the meeting, SpaceNut sent me an email address for Terraformer and I sent an invitation to join us on the new forum.
The email address we have on file for Calliban may have worked when he joined, but it no longer accepts incoming email. That may mean the email is still there, but it may have a filter that limits input to approved email names. That is actually quite an interesting idea. Major players like Google and Microsoft and Thunderbird have automatic spam detectors that do a pretty good job of identifying spam. What Calliban may be using could be a step above that. It is definitely an interesting idea.
