The FluxBB system continues performing well.
No incident(s) occurred during the past week.
This is post 334
Occasionally a search will produce a MySQL error. The error seems to occur when a query has a null result.
It appears that certain Unicode symbols do not display properly. They do display properly in phpBB3
There appears to be a minor bug in Search. If a search turns up nothing, it should report that.
Instead, the php delivers a long list of status data that is not particularly helpful to the average person.
The next Google Meeting will again feature discussion of a space propulsion system.
Issues currently in discussion include:
Introduction of a set of three topics to explore iterative rocket design.
GW Johnson is working on a spreadsheet that appears capable of handling the multiple phases of flight of an SSTO.
0) Progress with OpenFOAM simulation of the Merlin engine
The current subphase is developing mesh to prepend to the intake - We are now able to run checkMesh. Error count is 6.
1) How best to deliver Photons to the engine to heat hydrogen gas
2) How to couple the white hot engine to the space vessel.
3) How to steer the vessel - a possibility is to use the docking mechanism to provide tilt
4) How to deliver propellant to the Hot Bulb
5) The length of the Hot Bulb is tentatively set at 240 meters
6) How to store propellant and keep it away from the hot pipe
7) other topics as they may be suggested
